約3年に渡り、東東京に暮らし・働くさまざまな立場の外国人の方々と対話を重ねてきたコムアイ。その中で今年、難民として日本に暮らすイラン出身の女性レイラ・パクザッドと出会いました。彼女は、どんな思いで東京に暮らしているのでしょうか。レイラへのインタビューと、互いの故郷の歌を紹介しあい共に歌うパフォーマンスを、天空の展望台からお送りします。この二人の出会いが、誰もが難民や外国人をもっと身近に感じられるような「希望の灯り」となるように。

Over the past three years, KOM_I has had many conversations with foreigners from all walks of life living and working in East Tokyo. This year, she met with Leila Pakzad, a woman from Iran living in Japan as a refugee. What are her thoughts on living in Tokyo? We present an interview with Leila and a performance of songs from each other’s homeland, sung together from the observatory in the sky. We hope that this encounter between the two will become a ” Light of Hope” so that everyone can feel closer to refugees and foreigners.

アーティスト。1992年生まれ、神奈川育ち。ホームパーティで勧誘を受け歌い始める。「水曜日のカンパネラ」のボーカルとして、国内だけでなく世界中のフェスに出演、ツアーを廻る。
2019年4月3日、屋久島でのフィールドワークをもとにプロデューサーにオオルタイチを迎えて制作した音源「YAKUSHIMA TREASURE」をリリースし、公演を重ねる。2021年、新しい形の音楽体験「YAKUSHIMA TREASURE ANOTHER LIVE from 屋久島」をオンラインにて公開。
現在はオオルタイチと熊野に通いながら新作を準備中。2020年からOLAibiとのコラボレーションも始動。北インドの古典音楽や能楽、アイヌの人々の音楽に大きなインスピレーションを受けながら音楽性の幅を広げている。
音楽活動の他にも、ファッションやアート、カルチャーと、幅広い分野で活動。
2020年にアートディレクターの村田実莉と、架空の広告を制作し水と地球環境の疑問を問いかけるプロジェクト「HYPE FREE WATER」が始動するなど、社会課題に取り組むプロジェクトに積極的に参加している。

KOM_I

Born in 1992 and raised in Kanagawa. Began singing after being invited at a home party. As the vocalist of Wednesday Campanella, she has appeared at festivals and toured all over the world.
On April 3, 2019, she released a digital EP, “YAKUSHIMA TREASURE”, which is based on her fieldwork in Yakushima and produced by Oorutaichi, and has been giving a series of live performances. In 2021, a new type of music experience, “YAKUSHIMA TREASURE ANOTHER LIVE from Yakushima” was released online.

Currently preparing a new work while traveling to Kumano with Oorutaichi. Collaboration with OLAibi also began in 2020. She is expanding her musical horizons, taking inspiration from the classical music of North India, Nogaku, and the music of the Ainu people.

In addition to musical activities, she is active in a wide range of fields including fashion, art, and culture.
She is actively involved in projects that address social issues, such as the HYPE FREE WATER project that she launched in 2020 with art director Minori Murata to create imaginary advertisements to raise questions about water and the global environment.
